London-based fashion label Damsel in a Dress was featured in a five-page spread in the Mail on Sunday's YOU magazine. Models took to the streets of New York to test the new 2012 collection for autumn/winter, Equinox.
Alison Mansell and Amanda Seaborne created the new collection, and just like all their wedding dresses and evening dresses, it is inspired by individual women that are confident and vibrant, who embrace the clothes that they wear. The duo thought the bright, elegant contrasts of their Equinox range would be perfectly set in the hustle and bustle of New York City.
The collection contrasts jewel brights, colour blocks and vivid tones with cool, smokey neutrals and watercolours to mark the changing of the seasons. The dresses are all individually handmade and are designed to make the wearer look and feel beautiful.
The dresses featured, worn by model Kayte Steinmetz, ranged from the elegant black Signature Dress to the stunning tweed Abby Dress. The Signature Dress is made in 100% silk with a bias cut satin skirt that drapes across the body. The bold black and sleek design creates a sophisticated feminine silhouette.
