Damsel in a Dress hits the streets with the Daily Mail

London-based fashion label Damsel in a Dress was featured in a five-page spread in the Mail on Sunday's YOU magazine. Models took to the streets of New York to test the new 2012 collection for autumn/winter, Equinox.

Alison Mansell and Amanda Seaborne created the new collection, and just like all their wedding dresses and evening dresses, it is inspired by individual women that are confident and vibrant, who embrace the clothes that they wear. The duo thought the bright, elegant contrasts of their Equinox range would be perfectly set in the hustle and bustle of New York City.

The collection contrasts jewel brights, colour blocks and vivid tones with cool, smokey neutrals and watercolours to mark the changing of the seasons. The dresses are all individually handmade and are designed to make the wearer look and feel beautiful.

The Signature Dress is made in 100% silk with a bias cut satin skirt that drapes across the body. The bold black and sleek design creates a sophisticated feminine silhouette.

The Abby Dress comes with hand frayed edges and pocket detail. The simple, elegant shape makes it an ideal dress for autumn events. For a flawless, chic outfit, partner the dress with the Abby Jacket.

Also featured in the spread was the Lara Dress, a knitted tweed piece with leather trim detail on the neckline and armholes. The exquisite dress has a glamorous cont women's coats online emporary look that will look great in your wardrobe.

The collection doesn't stop at dresses; also included are an impressive range of jackets, shrugs and coats that partner perfectly with the Equinox dresses. The Philippa dress would partners well with the blue Sally coat and some knee high boots.
